Krikor H (Greg) Soghomonian - Chairman

Greg Soghomonian joined the Weston Aluminium's Board, as the Chairman, in May 2007.

Greg is a Senior executive, with over 40 years of experience, in major global companies and market leaders. He has held various senior leadership positions, serving Industrial Automation and Aerospace markets, in the Asia Pacific region.

Greg is the principal of Quantum Results Consulting Pty Ltd. Prior to establishing Quantum Results Consulting in 2004, Greg was the President of Honeywell Asia Pacific, Automation & Control Solutions, with executive responsibilities for Honeywell Legal entities and Joint Ventures across the region.

Greg served as an advisory board member to the Chemical & Process Engineering Center (CPEC) at the National University of Singapore from 1999 to 2003. From 2001 to 2004, he was appointed as a member to the steering committee of the Centre for Total Building Performance (CTBP) at the National University of Singapore. Both are leading bodies, respectively for the development of chemical processing and construction industries in the Asia Pacific Region.

Garbis Simonian - Managing Director

Garbis Simonian is the founder of Weston Aluminium Pty Ltd.

Garbis started his business career in 1978, when he established Kaleej International, a trading company, primarily exporting foodstuffs to Middle East & South East Asia. In 1986 Garbis established & successfully operated, simultaneously, companies involved in Property Development, Air Freight Forwarding & Motor Vehicle Parts importing. These ventures were successful achievements in Garbis's early business career, from 1978 to 1993.

In 1993 he was appointed as Executive Director of Mino Metal Pty Ltd, trading in nonferrous metals. Soon after he became the Managing Director of Alumino Australia Pty Ltd.

In 1996, Garbis established Weston Aluminium Pty Ltd, a services company that provides innovative solutions to the aluminium and steel industries.

In addition to his duties at Weston Aluminium & since 2003, Garbis serves, as The Executive Director of Hunter Energy Pty Ltd, the Director of Macquarie Energy Pty Ltd & as the Chairman of the Hunter Gas Users Group.
Garbis has a BA - LLB (Hons), from Sydney University, graduating in 1979.

Nobuhide (Nobby) Matsui - Deputy Managing Director

Nobby Matsui commenced his career with Tomen Corporation where he established himself as a distinguished metals trader. During his 13 years of service at Tomen, Nobby had various leadership roles in Aluminium and Copper Trading, including Nonferrous Metals Manager at Tomen's Hong Kong office.

In 1994 Nobby joined Mino Metal, as the trading manager, in Australia, before taking up his current position, in 1996, with Weston Aluminium, as the Deputy Managing Director.

Nobby Graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Resource Engineering from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan.

Keizo Taniyama - Non-Executive Director

Graduated from Kinki university, Osaka, Japan and joined Asashi Seiren Co Ltd in 1964. Appointed General manager in 1977, then promoted to Executive Director in 1981 and President since 1995.

Yoshifumi (Yoshi) Taniyama - Non-Executive Director

Graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, from Wakayama University, Osaka, Japan.

In 1993 Yoshi worked as a Trainee Metals Trader at Mino Metal, for a 4 year work experience and training program, before returning to Asahi Seiren Co. Ltd, Japan. In 1997 he was appointed Director and Plant Technical Advisor to Weston Aluminium. In mid 2002 he was appointed Project Manager for MAP-I, Asahi Seiren's new joint venture with Honda Trading Corporation in Indonesia. At present he is the General Manager, New Projects and Overseas Investments, for Asahi Seiren, based in Osaka, Japan.
